GUARDIAN ANGEL PATCH | ANGEL CITY FC

I was commissioned by Angel City Football Club to design the Guardian Angel Patch as part of their community jersey program. The patches were created by a group of local artists and creators representing the cultures, neighborhoods, and identities that shape Los Angeles, allowing supporters to personalize their jerseys and tell their own LA story.

My inspiration for the design was to capture the energy, spirit, and joy of Los Angeles — the feeling of what it means to be an Angeleno. The Guardian Angel serves as a symbol of protection, community, and collective strength, representing the people and neighborhoods that shape and uplift the city.

Through this program, each patch becomes a small emblem of belonging. Fans are able to represent the communities, stories, and identities that define their relationship with Los Angeles, reinforcing Angel City FC’s mission of celebrating the city’s cultural diversity.

Being part of this project was especially meaningful because it highlights the importance of community and visibility. Initiatives like this create space to celebrate the many voices and communities that make Los Angeles what it is.
