SAINT NIP MURAL |
CRENSHAW DAIRY MART

Following the passing of Nipsey Hussle, I collaborated with artist Paul Cullors to create a mural in his honor on the exterior wall of the Crenshaw Dairy Mart in Inglewood. The piece, titled Saint Nip, serves as a tribute to Nipsey’s legacy and his impact on the communities of South Central Los Angeles.

The mural reimagines Nipsey as a symbolic guardian figure — a representation of the vision, leadership, and care he invested in his community. Through the imagery, the work reflects the idea of Nipsey as a guiding presence whose mission centered on uplifting Black artistry, ownership, and community empowerment.

Creating this mural at the Crenshaw Dairy Mart was especially meaningful because of my connection to the area. As someone raised in Los Angeles, the work became both a personal and communal act of remembrance. The project brought together artists and neighbors to honor a figure whose influence continues to shape the cultural and creative landscape of the city.

Installed on the west-facing wall of the Dairy Mart, the mural stands as a public tribute to Nipsey Hussle’s enduring spirit — a visual reminder of the power of art, community, and collective memory.
