PACSUN | THE FREEDOM TO FLY

I was commissioned by PacSun to create a large-scale mural installation for their downtown Los Angeles location, alongside a small capsule of merchandise including a sweatshirt, T-shirt, and tote bag featuring the artwork.

Titled “The Freedom to Fly,” the project explores themes of liberation, imagination, and personal transformation. At the center of the design is a winged figure reaching upward — a visual expression of aspiration, movement, and the freedom to define one’s own path.

The mural was installed across the storefront windows, allowing the artwork to interact with the surrounding architecture and street life of downtown Los Angeles. The transparency of the glass creates a layered experience between the interior and exterior of the space, extending the work into the public environment.

The imagery was also translated across a series of wearable pieces — a sweatshirt, T-shirt, and tote bag — allowing the visual language of the mural to exist beyond the installation and move through the city with the people who wear it.

Through this project, I wanted to create something that felt uplifting and expansive — a reminder that creativity and self-expression are powerful forms of freedom.
